Pomodoro

Rationale: I chose to draw the tomato as September is the month dedicated to Demeter (Greek: Δήμητρα), goddess of the crops, grains, and the fertility of the earth. Additionally, the French called the tomato the pomme d'amour, or the Love Apple, for their belief that the exotic tomato had aphrodisiac powers. It’s one of the many fruits that are mistaken as vegetables, and has a deep connection with mythology, which is a topic I am interested in.
