I was soaring in the vast, beautiful blue skies of the world, the wind caressing my face tenderly like a mother’s gentle touch. i dove through clouds, flew past birds, and smiled under the gentle rays of the sun.

My bright eyes shone a piercing azure, pearly white horns glinting with supernatural beauty. My golden mane framed my face elegantly, horns of turquoise crystals standing rigid on the ivory scales of my back. Swirls of milky clouds draped over my horns like a tapestry of mist, sunlight glinting off the plumes of golden vapour veiling my slender body.

I was wild, free from control. strong, undaunted by the dangers the world held. Beautiful, with unmatched elegance and grace. Ethereal, heavenly beyond your wildest dreams.

I was a dragon.

Rationale:

This piece is about a dream I had recently. I usually never remember my dreams once I wake up, let alone ones so surreal and unrealistic! That's why i decided to record most of the details down as a short story, and selected a small section of it to use as an ARC submission.
