Drowning

The face in the artwork is the now 20 year old Swedish environmental activist named Greta Thunberg. She was originally famous for protesting for climate change instead of going to school. Her movement evoked protests all around the world and has impacted the climate crisis initiative positively. Hence, I drew her face surrounded by waves to represent the trouble the world is going through, for example, rising sea and temperature levels.The ocean waves demonstrate how even though there are activists around the world who are fighting the climate crisis, it takes every individual person to act before real change is made.
