In our classist society, your salary and wage determines worth and who you are as a person. We live in a world where earning money is the whole purpose of one's life, whether you survive in our modern society is dependent on one's account balance. This artwork attempts to defy these standards, focusing on equality for the people who have average or below salary. The title 'Leaf' conveys the phrase "money doesn't fall from trees", but by interpreting it in a more literal meaning, I wanted to express that sometimes the worth of money is equivalent to a fallen leaf. A ripped up dollar bill depicts breaking free from this classist society, finding worth in yourself as a person, instead of how much you earn.
