Stormy Waves

It was like every other fishing day,
yet the clouds were slightly grey.
they untied the rope attaching the boat to the pier,
and sailed and paddled until the blackening clouds drew near.
It looked fine enough so they cast the net.
The clouds covered the sun and the sky.
The waves had seemed to be telling them to turn back.
It wasn't much longer
before they were pulled into the waves of death.
With the net trailing behind em,
they went down down down.
The last thing they saw was the blurry smudge of the boat,
The shade of a deep woodland brown
